Worth knowing

Almenara was rebranded as The Alto Club in 2025, with an academy led by Suzann Pettersen. The former 27 holes are now one 18-hole course plus a 9-hole par-3 course (€27 for 9 holes, €45 for 18) and a pitch & putt, with a par-29 executive course 'coming soon'. Main-course rates are online only (rates on request); par 71 and opening year per club blog/RFGA.

Getting there from Ireland

Málaga airport (AGP) has direct flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock and Belfast, with the regional routes varying by season. The Alto Club is about 114 km by road from the airport.
